Much thought has gone into solving the frightening problem historically known as “man overboard(MOB) but since women fall overboard also, more accurately called “crew overboard (COB). Thanks to the energetic efforts of sailors and researchers during the 1980s and 1990s, we have simple, more efficient equipment and doctrines that will help save many sailors’ lives.
