Established September 10, 1909, the Nyack Boat Club is one of the oldest yachting clubs on the Hudson River. In 1920 most of the forty Club members had a canoe, a small power boat, or a sail boat. Until the 1960’s the Club was a mixture of sail and power boats, but in the last few decades sailing has become the passion of most members. Today, in its Centennial year, the Club is at a maximum three hundred members strong, runs a vibrant sailing and racing program, and has haul-out, launching, and mooring facilities that are the envy of other yacht clubs up and down the river.
